Strategy[]
Summary[]
Bonus blast radius and pierce is useful for the Bomb Shooter's role at area damage. Because Bomb Shooter explosions have small blast radiuses and less pierce than other area-of-effect sources such as Mortar Monkeys or Ice Monkeys, the Bigger Bombs upgrade slightly improves the base Bomb Shooter's main role.
Tips[]
- This upgrade rarely occupies an important role and is generally only used as a crosspath for either MOAB Mauler or Cluster Bombs.
- Extra blast radius can be helpful for hitting more bloons per shot, but since this upgrade is quite expensive it generally isn't very worth the price.
- As the most expensive Tier 1 Primary Monkey upgrade, it is worthwhile to let the Bomb Shooter be near a Primary Mentoring in order to receive the Bigger Bombs upgrade for free.

Trivia[]
- Bigger Bombs is the most expensive Primary Monkey Tier 1 upgrade in the game.
- In the Flash versions of the Bloons TD 5 Generation, the explosion radius of each bomb from the base Bomb Tower (before named as Bomb Shooter in BMC and BTD6) are equivalent to the size of the bomb explosions from Bigger Bombs in BTD6. Players who were familiar with explosion radius sizes of the Bomb Tower in BTD5 Generation games may find that the BTD6 Bigger Bombs have much smaller explosions than expected.
- Likewise, in BTD5 Flash games, the Bigger Bombs upgrade has bombs that produce an equivalent blast radius size as the Really Big Bombs upgrade in BTD6.
