The game is requires the player to move the Super Monkey around with the cursor, popping Bloons to earn Power Blops. The Super Monkey throws darts, but can be upgraded to throw other projectiles. Power Blops can be earned by popping Red Bloons.
Blue Bloons contain Red Bloons. Green Bloons contain Blue Bloons. Yellow Bloons contain Green Bloons. Pink Bloons contain Yellow Bloons. Rainbow Bloons contain Pink Bloons. Ceramic Bloons contain Rainbow Bloons and take 10 hits to pop. M.O.A.Bs have higher HP than other Bloons (including Ceramic Bloons), and contain a variety of Bloons. M.O.A.Bs also shoot out Red Bloons when hit. A B.F.B appears at the end of the last level in the game and has very high HP, and contains a larger number of Bloons rather than M.O.A.Bs.
If the Super Monkey does not pop enough Bloons, the Super Monkey has been defeated (game over), and the screen shows an animation of a ripped cape hanging from a tree branch. You can tell if you lost if you did not pop enough Bloons to get the bronze trophy (represented by the red bloon in the bottom-right hand corner turning all bronze). Winning however, results in the Super Monkey will fly up into space with fireworks going off.
