Faster Production returns as the 1st upgrade of Path 2 for the Spike Factory in Bloons TD 6. Production of spikes increases by +25% faster (x0.8 attack cooldown), for a rate of one spike pile every 1.4s instead of 1.75s, by default.
This upgrade costs $510 on Easy, $600 on Medium, $650 on Hard, and $720 on Impoppable.

Overview[]
Upon upgrading to Faster Production or crosspathing with Faster Production (except for Tier 5 upgrades), the Spike Factory will gain two rectangular extrusions on both sides. All Spike Factories with Faster Production, except Spiked Mines and Tier 5 upgrades, will also turn the factory's feet purple.
Faster Production grants a 0.8x attack cooldown to the Spike Factory, or +25% attack speed, resulting in an attack cooldown of 1.4s instead of 1.75s.
Targeting Priorities[]
Faster Production defaults on Normal targeting priority, which dispenses the spikes onto nearby bloon track in a semi-sporadical behavior. If given Smart Spikes, it will also receive Close, Far, and Smart.
- Normal: Targets spike piles in a somewhat sporadical way, spreading spikes as evenly as possible within its range.
- Close: Targets the closest region(s) of track within range.
- Far: Targets the furthest region(s) of track within range.
- Smart: Prioritizes the track with the Bloon the farthest through it, then targets the spot on that track closest to the exit.

Summary[]
Faster Production improves the Spike Factory's production of spikes. While less efficient than multiple base Spike Factories, Faster Production is quite valuable in combination with higher level upgrades.
Tips[]
- Faster Production is generally better for crosspathing both the top and bottom paths high tier upgrades.
- For Perma-Spike, use an Acidic Mixture Dip or Monkey Intelligence Bureau to allow it to pop leads.
- If using a low tier Spike Factory, try to only buy this upgrade after Bigger Stacks has been bought, or if planning going for Long Life Spikes or above, especially Perma-Spike. Otherwise, a 0-1-0 Spike Factory is a lot less cost-efficient than going for multiple base Spike Factories.
- For a single tier, Faster Production adds a decent amount of DPS. It isn't as efficient as Bigger Stacks aside from reliable stockpiling, but it does help Least Tiers challenges with Spiked Balls or Spiked Mines.
